IMPLEMENTATION OF STUDENT PROJECT ALLOCATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CASESTUDY OF BEST SOLUTION POLYTECHNIC)

ABSTRACT
The traditional way of allocating project topic to students in the higher institution
need to be reconsidered since project writing is sensitive aspect of student
education in the higher institution. The traditional system create room for
allocating a single topic to more than one students or group of student thereby
creating inefficiency in the purpose of student project writing. Therefore this
project is aimed at developing a web-based system, which manages the activity of
“Student Project Management and allocation”. This system will manage the
database and maintain a list of all student or groups of student that have registered
as a finalist on this site, and for those students that have been shortlisted who have
passed the eligibility criteria as set by the lecturer/supervisor. The database of this
proposed system is design with MySQL and the programming Language used is
PHP. This Language was chosen because of its object oriented features and class
libraries for developing online applications.
